Several of JONATHAN JOSEPHSON’s plays have appeared on Chance stages including Variations on a Theme: The Best (2007), The Giant and The Pixie (2008), Charles Dickens’ Christmas Tree (staged reading, 2009), The Legend(s) of Sleepy Hollow (TYA, 2015), and Norine and the King of Swatsville (staged reading, 2023). Fifty-five of his plays have been produced across the U.S. including Alternative Theatre (Off-Broadway), Actors Theatre of Louisville (Humana Festival), Milwaukee Rep (RepLab), and the Sam French Off-Off Broadway Play Festival (Festival Winner) as well as in Norway, Cameroon, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout the UK. Twenty-four of his plays are published by Concord Theatricals, Original Works Publishing, YouthPLAYS, Smith & Kraus, and others. Jonathan is also the founding Executive Director of Unbound Productions and a creator of the multi-award-winning immersive theatre events Wicked Lit, Mystery Lit, and History Lit which have welcomed over 30,000 patrons to site-specific venues across Southern California. He is a Resident Playwright of PlayGround-LA, and a member of the Colony Theatre Playwrights Lab, Dramatists Guild, and ALAP.
