On the Main Stage…. Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers!
This satirical musical is famous among the operas for its sparkling and tuneful music and as the last musical to be produced by Gilbert, Sullivan, and D’Oyly Carte. The story satirizes snobbery in all grades of society, following Gilber’s favorite theme of topsy-turvydom.
Sanctuary City contains themes related to immigration and undocumented status, including references to deportation, family separation, physical abuse and systemic injustice.
The play also includes depictions and discussion of emotional distress, trauma, poverty, and frequent strong language.
These themes may be distressing for some audience members.
